29/12/2025. Bottle from Fullers online store. Nice dark ruby brown colour, a small short lasting off-white head (a little more would have made it better). Aroma is toffee, biscuit, bready, malt, fruit cake. Quite sweet, moderate bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. It’s okay.

Bottle. Pours a mid brown colour with a red tint, plenty of hops and fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry bitter finish.

Volo Cask Days 2009. Wow, this was so nice. Loads of sweet, bready, biscuity malts. SOme slight hops just for a touch of bitterness, but the sweet silky bready malts won me over.

Bottle at home from Fuller's advent calendar. A clear, ruby copper coloured pour with a fine beige cap. Aroma is brown malts, brown bread, jammy fruit, light vanilla, raspberry ripple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered earthy toasted malts, brown bread, buurnt grass, harsh bitterness, lingering caramel swetness. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, fine carbonation. some grain husks, fine carbonation. Not bad.

Day 3 of the Fullers advent calendar. Good pour and a really deep colour in the glass. Not much but probably a bit cold. Rich malts and a real sweetness. Quite nice.
