Heres what I've been goofin around with for a while. I love belgian wits on hot summer days (or freezin your butt off days). Anyway I took a witbier and threw in a bunch of hibiscus flowers to make it even better. Tart and refreshing, with a hint of tart.

Crisp, very clear pink tinted and copper coloured body with a very thin and fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of grass, tons of flowers, light earth, a dose of coriander seed, wheat and some yeast, but sadly the hibiscus seems missing and there is nothing tart or funky about this - just floral. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very floral bite at first with a good deal of malts and some wheat noticeable, but the yeast shows through, without any funkiness or tart notes from the hibiscus - this is very classy, refined and flower-forward, but missing any complexity from those flowers being hibiscus blossoms, they show more as jasmine, tea or nuanced floral elements versus anything funky or seasonal for the summer or hot portion of the year. Aftertaste is dry, floral, grassy and very saison-y versus any deep wit or tart beer that may come from the hibiscus. Overall, a fairly nice summer beer that is dry, lightly earthy, malt-forward and especially floral, but missing the tart and funky aspects of the pure hibiscus notes. Good to sample, but not worth going out and trying to find, especially for those who may see 'hibiscus' and think that this one will be tart or funky. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer in Alexandria, Virginia on 10-July-2020 for US$3,86 sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-September-2020.
