Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee, moving towards espresso. Hint of caramel and liquorice. Flavour is nicely bitter with a mild to medium sweetness. Body is above medium. Good classic bitter roasty Imperial Stout, a slightly heavier body would have been nice.

Panda at home, post first tasting back at Canary Wharf, my bad timing ... picked up by myself from an online peddler. Lighter shade of black with a decent tan covering. Nose is cocoa powder, dried fruit rinds, charr, brown bread, spice, dates. Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate, brown bread, toffee, fruit cake, spice, dates, herb. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent enough straight up impy stout with an old skool lean.
