Can from BrewDog thing in London and drunk at home. Very dark brown black beer. Lasting tan head Chocolate biscuit cream coffee aroma Attractive aroma. Good cold tiramasu flavour in the mouth touch of sponge cream and strong coffee and chocolate. Really drinkable. never over the top. Good balance. excellent.

Thanks to you, Graham for this stout which I would have enjoyed sharing with you. But I know the time will come. Voici un Imperial Stout tout à fait plaisant et qui porte très bien ses 8 %, ce qui peut paraître peu élevé pour le style. Et malgré une texture fine qui n'a pas ma préférence, les arômes sont pleins, sans une grosse corpulence toutefois, et ce, sur une dominante forte de café. En verre, nous sommes sur une robe noire avec une mousse brune abondante s'estompant rapidement. Le nez est principalement sur le café avec une touche de brulé. En bouche on garde cette dominante café avec de légères épices. Une astringence relativement marquée est présente. La deuxième bouche présente une belle intensité aromatique et sur l’arrière-bouche des notes de baie rouge apparaissent. L'alcool, à 8 % est d'une bonne efficacité, cela provenant de la texture fine et d'une sucrosité relativement peu poussée. Le final est quant à lui relativement discret. Sympathique.

Treacle and dark bread, roasty coffee and dark chocolate, some hay. Long bitter finish. Solid and pleasant old school imperial stout.

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Good looking in the glass white a stable, bubbly, tan coloured head leaving rich lacing on the glass. Black body with a deep dark brownish glint. Well roasted aromas of black malts, dark bread, and wood. The taste profile follows suit with black chocolate malts joined by liquorice and coffee. Long-lived aftertaste of roasted bitterness. Fine depth. Excellent stout. (Tromsø 22.08.2021).
