330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Intense, malty aroma, hints of almond, BA addendum, hints of leather, a touch of dark chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, notes of dark caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, some chocolate, light BA support with hints of leather, a touch of vanilla; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Minimally creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Initially a bit edgy, becomes more harmonious while warming up - OK.

On tap at Haandfest. It's an unclear one, brown, with a dense beige head. The aroma has lots of whisky, with a light smoked touch, wood, caramel sauce, alcohol, dried fruits and toffee. It's warming and full-bodied, smooth and sweet, with a low bitterness level. Boozy whisky, toffee, dried fruits, caramel and some wood and smoke in the flavor, leading to a rather sweet swallow that lasts for quite some time. A pleasant one indeed, but less time on the barrel would suit my palate better. 190503

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft creamy sweet malts. Smooth fruity whiskey, very well integrated. Not much else to see here, but for some teeth in the finish, the bite delivered with a slightly spicy and notably warning finish.
