bottle. dark orange, small white head. Dark like a tuborg classic but a little more red and yellow in there. light fruity, light malty aroma, little bit of lightly roasted malts, little bit of toasted bread with a little bit of butter on it, flavor is fruity, malty, a almost citrus fruity grean leafy yeasty kind of bitterness that i remember from belgian triple - just a hint of it, but quite unexpected. It adds depth and character. Not that much flavor, but for a 4.9% it does have its share of nuances and notes. label states they added some fruit concentrates to the beer, that probably explains why it comes off as quite complex. I bet they spent some time and experimentation fine tuning things to make them seem quite balanced.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy, orangey golden with a lacing, white head. Malty nose, lightly spicy - although difficult to pinpoint exactly what spice. Medium body, oddly unclean. Is it the apple juice or does it simply have diacetyl? I fear the latter. Another failed Schiøtz beer. 260421
