Tasting at Brian's, bottle, batch n. 4
Dark colour. The dates are quite evident, it's very sweet, with some marzipan notes, light cherry, and very light coffee.
Interesting drink.

750ml on Brian's deck. Appearance: dark copper. Aroma: coffee, sweetness. Taste: along the same lines with some green peppers character. Overall: ok.

Bottle pour at Mikkeller Taipei, pours a dark mahogany, no head. Aroma brings out a nice balance of espresso and dates, with the honey blossom nectar in back. Flavour is prominent on the coffee upfront, followed by heaps of treacly honey, and a hint of dates. Decadent and complex. Another beauty from the mead masters.

Pours dark reddish with no head. Aroma has notes of honey, burned, roasted and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet with a long warm, honey, roasted and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat

[ As Superstition Date Night ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, dates, oak, light dusty coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet honey, honey, dusty, dates - figs, coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.
