We have applied the dark liquid arts to Safeword in order to create restrained anticipation in a bottle. Draught @ MBCC 2018. Pours almost black, no head. Aroma of honey, light herbal, dried leaves, sweet dark fruit, dates. Flavor is sweet, rich honey, herbal, rich sweet dates, alcohol. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 110518

Aroma of coffee, dark honey, some molasses.
Tastes of dark honey, dates, coffee, caramel, molasses, slight alcohol.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, without carbonation.
Finishes warm, sweet, with honey, dates, subtle coffee.
Tasty. The nose is a bit simple, but the taste is really diverse, with the dates and the coffee working very well with the honey. Not among the best ones from Superstition I've had, but another really lovely one.

Tap. Dark brown color with no head. Aroma is honey, flowery, chocolate, candy sugar. Taste is honey, dates, prunes, flowery. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Smooth, though I am usually not a fan of meads with these ingredients.
