Fullbodied and warming. Rich for being 4,5%, toffee, caramel, sweet malts, nuts, and brown bread. Still a dry finish. Smooth. Hawklwy Inn, East Hants.

Cask poured into my third-pint glass. Nitro white head leaving spotty lace behind. Very nice, deep brown head. Lighter aroma of spiced malts. Nuts and caramel in flavour underscored by a hoppy jam-like touch finishing off with malt-bitterness. Different and quite nice. GBBF, Earls Court, London 02.08.2011.

Cask. A nut-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel as well as a lighter note of nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and nuts as well as lighter notes of butterscotch, leading to a dry finish where the butterscotch note lingers.

Pours copper with an off-white small head.Nose shows sweetness... lots of sweetness. Apple juice, grape juice, brown sugar, honey, etc, etc. A bit sickly really.Flavours show some of the same sweetness but is very watery! Some cidery notes, finishes with a bland mild bitterness.Very watery body too, And low carbonation which doesnβt work at all.Needs a lot more malt, both for flavour and body.a
