26/VIII/24 - 33cl bottle from a local Lidl supermarket in France, shared @ holiday in France, BB: 30/IX/25 (2024-807)
Clear blond gold to light beige beer, big solid creamy white head, a little stable, falls down quickly, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty metallic, some citrus, a bit soapy, floral, grains, slightly sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: fruity touch, some citrus, gentle bitterness, sweet, some tropical fruits, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: sweet malts, a bit metallic, pretty bitter finish, a little fruity, a hint of tropical fruits, slightly juicy, decent but not great.

Bottled 330ml. -from Casino Chamonix. Unclear golden coloured, small white head, light herbal nose. Herbal, floral, light citrusy and grassy with touch of lime in the finish.

Short-lived white head over faintly veiled, finely carbonated golden beer. Lychee, citrus, other exotic fruit, C-hops, bit of rosewater. Modest exotic fruitflavour, sweet, again rosewater & lychee. Very light body with just a bit of hopoils in the MF. Medium carbonation. More akin to a session IPA than to a standard. But even that in consideration, rather demure. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle from Epicery & Co, Toulon: BB 28th February 2023. Drank just off Barcelona as the ship sailed away on 21st June 2022. This looked awful, full of floating sediment that refused to settle, nothing sunny about it at all. Old gold in colour, white head, did I mention floaters? Needed a sock to drink it through, but i managed somehow by filtering it with my teeth. Citrus front to the floaters, oranges maybe?

IPA from one of countless new microbreweries in France, this one located in a village in the Provençe; longneck bottle from an Intermarché in southwestern France, thanks Isabel! Eggshell-white, moussy, opening but generally well-retaining head, clear yellow golden robe. Aroma of garden weeds, spoiled leek, white bread, grass, white pepper, green apple, dried spring onion. Cleanly fruity onset, hints of green apple peel, unripe pear and light banana, fizzily carbonated, slender mouthfeel; oily middle, cereally and white-bready, a basic pale malt sweetishness spiced with grassy hoppiness, adding a lingering dryness and moderate bitterness. An aspect of citrus peel is there, but not in a very aromatic way. Quite simple in structure, a ‘generic’ international style IPA I guess, but quaffable enough, I am not complaining here.

330ml bottle [Thanks Bernd!]. Minimally cloudy, dark yellow-ish to orangey, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal, slightly citrusy an grassy, hoppy and slightly grainy-spicy, malty aroma, hints of lemon, old lemon peel, lemongrass, a touch of lime. Taste is dry, crisp, herbal-grassy and citrusy hoppy, moderately bitter, slightly grainy-spicy, malty basis, hints of lemon, old lemon peel, a touch of lime. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Cautiously hoppy, rather rural malty - not overly impressive.
