Bottle in the Beer Hawk Advent Calendar. Clearly not an exclusive but not complaining. Aroma has rich coffee and dark chocolate with a big sour boozy edge. Opaque darkest brown. Foamy creamy light beige head. Creamy chocolate. A light bitterness before the boozy bite makes itself known. Irish creme-eque. But a particularly boozy one. Light-medium bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Highly drinkable stuff.

Bottle shared with Mrs Scopey. It pours dark brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is sweet, toasty, brown bread, bourbon biscuits, milk chocolate, maltesers, caramel wafer, vanilla, earthy roast and coffee grounds. The taste is slick, toasty, earthy roast, coffee grounds, bitter - sweet, milk chocolate, vanilla, bourbon biscuits, bourbon soaked oak, some biscoff, mars bar, touch of spice, earthy, light tannin and nip of alcohol. Medium+ body and average carbonation. Maybe lacks a bit of depth/body. Fun enough, but not up to their top tier of barrel aged beers.
