Fremont Brewing began as a dream in 2008. Years later, our dream has come true in each and every one of you, our craft beer family. And like every family, we have had our ups and our downs, but we keep coming back together knowing we are stronger together. In your hands is a special nod to you, a gift for now that will continue to give many years from now should you have the patience to wait…Brew 5000. This English-style barleywine ale uses floor-malted English barley, Noble hops, and is aged in 10-15 year-old, single use bourbon barrels for 16 months to bring you a complex and subtle craft beer flavor experience. We brewed this to celebrate brewing our 5000th brew, and we look forward to sharing it with you, our craft beer family. “Barleywine Is Life." – You

Bottle from Hollingshead, drunk 2/14/23. Clear amber-bronze. Small, off-white head. Rich honey and bourbon with vanilla, oak and rich caramel. Soft, rich, sweet, juicy and rich with vanilla and soft, spicy bourbon. Excellent amount of spicy bourbon. Succulent and whickey-rich without astringency.

22 oz. Bottle, thanks to ClarkVV. Aroma is toffee, earthy grain, raisins. The malt character is rich. Plenty of dark fruit with lasting vanilla and oak from the barrel. Rich and well made. Alcohol is hidden. Awesome!

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy reddish amber. Thin tan head. Lovely caramel maltiness aroma and flavors. Very faded bitterness but smooth sweet deliciousness. Very nice

Mooch tasting, courtesy of Sergey
Brown colour. Aroma of malt, of fruit, figs, prunes, molasses, bourbon. Sweet and rich, deep malt base, dates with sweet bourbon.
Yes, it's an English style, well made too; a fruity Barley Wine. Excellent.

Flaska från Seattle. Drucken jämte Brew 2000. Någorlunda klar, mahognyfärgad, vitbeige krona. Kastanj, kolasnören, höstlöv, brunt socker. Kolsyran och smaken snäppet piggare än 2000, men mindre skillnad än väntat. Denna även snäppet lättare. Ganska jämnt race, men föredrar nog 2000 med en liten marginal. Brew 3000 och 4000 dock bättre.

22oz (thx, Josh!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: bourbon, malty, caramel, some dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, with creamy oak notes, fruity, and quite sweet. Overall: a good liquid bourbony candy.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark mahogany brown with small light beige head. Dark dried fruit, raisin, molasses, touch of heat from the bourbon barrels, nicely integrated. Fairly sweet, but very good.
