Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours ruddy copper with a pink tinged foamy head. Tart cherry aroma. Med body. Flavor is tart cherry with some oak astringency. Dry. Oak seems to provide bitterness. Pale malt support. Good. Approachable.

Bottle from last night's share. Copper colored pour, a few bubbles. Tart aroma, cherries. Cherries are a bit muted in the taste, plenty of tartness, lots of Belgian Flanders accents. Nice.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is moderately fruity with quite a bit of cherry notes. Light grain notes and faint oak. Some funky citrus and stonefruit notes with a light musty and phenolic notes. Pours a somewhat clear, golden-amber color with a medium small, medium thick, slightly pinkish head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a light acidity and light grain notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Medium cherry notes and faint oak. Light peppery, earth y, herbal phenolic notes. Light citrus and stone fruit esters. A bit tannic in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid cherry beer with balanced oak, cherry and base beer. A bit tannic in the finish which accentuates the phenolics, but otherwise it's fine.
