Named for the future events in Norse mythology where a great battle and flood will occur, and the earth will be reborn. Ragnarok won a Silver medal at the 2014 Mazer Cup International mead competition in the category of Sweet Traditional Mead. The terroir of Arizona is on display here as we use the best wildflower honey in the world and subtle tropical flavors are underscored through fermenting with natural mango juice. Chill and enjoy!

On tap at Superstition, pours a clear blonde. Aroma brings out lightly smoked honey, low-medium mango presence and alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet, with light mango intruding on the heavy sweet honey presence. Not really getting the mesquite quality. Whatever this is, it's excellent.

Refrigerated 75 flip top bottle poured into a snifter. Clear pale yellow with no: head, carbonation, or lacing. Aroma is light honey, syrupy texture, and medium body. Taste is honey, alcohol, and some mango. For a $50 bottle of mead I expected to like this more; a fair amount of booze and not very complex.
