Aldersbacher Maibock, Flasche vom Biermeister, Berlin-Schöneberg. - Wohl mein letzter Bock vor dem Herbstanfang - jetzt verlangt die sommerliche Hitze nach leichteren Bieren. - Tiefes, beinahe dunkles Goldgelb, fast klar. - In der Nase bocktypisch schweres, fettes Malz, dem eine kernige, gedämpft zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe von leiser Schärfe Profil verleiht. - Antrunk wuchtig und fett hellmalzig mit fein karamelliger Honigsüße, perfekt austariert durch kernige zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. Satte Malzsüße ringt mit unverkennbarer Saphir-Hopfung. Milder rezent, schwer; leiser wärmender Alkohol. Im Abgang leicht trocken und sehr aromatisch hopfenherb. - Wuchtiger, fett malziger aber auch intensiv gehopfter Maibock, frisch, kernig und mit Tiefgang. Ein Bier von besonderer Güte und ein würdiger Abschluß der Bocksaison. (11.7.2023.)

Bottle at brewery, Aldersbach Friday 2nd June 2023, another day of stunning weather, another bonus is that we're parked here at the brewery with electrics for free. Difficult to determine colour as it's in a krug. You can tell that it's a little stronger but it's got great drinkability. Excellent and solid malty backbone, pleasant honey sweetness, a nice balance of strength and drinkability (I had two). Great Maibock.

Flasche 0,33l: Kräftiges Gold, dezente Trübung, kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; frische + fruchtige Nase, würzig, kräftige Süße, Hopfennoten, Zitrusnoten, kräftig Malz, Malzzucker, Karamell, Honig, würzig-süße Bitterkeit; fruchtiger + würziger Körper, kräftige malzig-würzige Süße, Hopfenaromen, helle Früchte, Zitrusnoten, Malz, Malzzucker, Karamell, cremig, deutliche Kohlensäure, würziger Honig, Brotkruste; angenehmer malzig-würziger Nachgang

Clear, bright golden color and a nice white head. Restrained nose, faint fruity, plums, sweet. Taste starts rather sweet. Fruity taste, once again plum, sweet and boozy.

Danke an Marc. neutral grainy, easy to drink with not too much depth. Moderate bitter in the aftertaste.

Gold with a thin, frothy white head that soon thins out. Aroma of mixed grains and honey. Taste is exactly the same, with the grainy bitterness taking the upper hand at the finish. Medium bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Drinkable but not holding my interest.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy and starchy, pale malty aroma, a touch of honey and cereals. Taste is sweet-ish malty, slightly grassy and minimally floral hoppy, hints of honey, cereals. Oily texture, minimally metallic-repellent palate, lingering sweet-ish malty finish.
