Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Opaque oily looking black brown beer, no real head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Hugely rich chocolate malts, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and chocolate fudge. A nutty vibe in the mid, not quite peanut but getting there. Big but smooth fruity bourbon integrates superbly. Finishes smooth and mildly dry with touches of savoury wood and vanilla and fair dose of spice. Bloody marvellous!

Bottle split at L6 tasting, thanks to Daniel, 31/08/2022.
Pitch black topped with a tan cap that thins to a swirl in time.
Nose is dark malts, brown sugar melt, chocolate pot, spice, bourbon snap.
Taste comprises light roast, mellow fruit tang, chocolate melt, spice, sweet malts, booze tunes, candied fruit rinds.
Full bodied, viscous oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost cloaked in a bourbon jacket.
Top drawer BA impy.

Bottle sample at a Yana's tasting at Max's place. Opaque black. Wood, vanilla, chocolate, a bit of licorice, a bit of acetaldehyde, very sweet, slightly umami, caramel, sugar, full-bodied, a bit syrupy.

Pours thick, brownish black, flat, with some coconut solids on top. Smell is sweet, good bourbon, vanilla, sweet coconut. Thick, boozy, rich, creamy. Taste is even richer, sweet but with some roast and bitter. Loads of coconut and vanilla. Bourbon. Great.

Svart med flyktig lys brunt skum. Lukter engelsk lakris og noe kaffe. Fyldig. Søt. Smaker melasse, søt lakris kaffe og mørk sjokolade. Lang.

Bottle shared at Meldrum Tasting. It pours opaque jet black with a teeny tiny dark tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, intoxicating, massive vanilla, toasted coconut, chocolate cake, gateaux, toffee, fudge, nutty, praline, cake frosting and forrero rocher. The taste is slick, oily, bitter - sweet, sticky, chewy, toothy, massive vanilla, bourbon soaked oak, cake frosting, ice cream sandwich, oily, fudgey, vanilla fudge, warming booze, vanilla paste, coffee grounds, vanilla coffee, toasted brown bread and damp oak with a toasty, vanilla boozy finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Crazy vanilla presence. Not as much depth as expected, but super fun stuff.

Bottle shared at Ghost Whale. Pours jet black with dirty tan bubbles around the glass. Looks thick and viscous. Just a swirl of head. Aroma is loads of coconut, vanilla, cocoa, boozy dried fruit, bourbon comes through. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, boozy dried fruit, coconut, bourbon comes through, hint of coffee. Starts sweet and the slips into booze. Booze is balanced in really well. Possibly one of the best beers I've tried.
