Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home mid-week and needing this, but enjoying the nice summer weather! Good pale ale for this one, goes down with a great crisp finish, slightly hoppy, good stuff!

Crisp copper coloured body with a thick, five centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of metal, light hops, crisp nutty malt and a bit of resin - nice. Medium-bodied; Grassy and nutty hop flavours coupled with some decently strong malt flavours and ending with a little nuttiness, but a good shaped malt backbone. Aftertaste shows some light caramelised sugar sweetness and a touch from fruit, but the malt still overpowers the hops throughout. Overall, a decent APA with a large nuttiness and a touch of resinous bitterness at the end. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-March-2015 for US$1,99 (received into Total Wine on 04-March-2015) sampled at home in Washington on 14-June-2015.

Thanks Scott.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a light foamy lacing sticking around the sides of the glass decently.
The smell had a semi - sweet malty citrus over top of a light piney bitter hops.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to blend nicely. A dry sweet citrus aftertaste leads to a decent sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation good for the style and for me as it’s not too sharp.
Overall, I say this was a decent APA that I could have again.

Can from Total Wine in Lynwood, WA. Pours bright gold with a hint of orange and a slight white head. Aroma of light roast malt and some nice stone fruit and possibly tropical fruit. Med body at least. Flavor indicates tropical fruits, and there is a roasty malt backbone. It has some hop bite. It’s not wholly dry, and it’s not extremely bitter, but it’s a pretty tasty beer. Good for when the taster needs a bit of relaxation.

$1.90 can from Wine Warehouse, CHO. Pours golden with an inch of off-white head. Smells of citrus hops, pine, and flowers. Tastes floral, has roasted malts, and light lemony citrus.

12 ounce can. Honey gold color with a moderate creamy beige head. Grainy, fruity malt nose with a hint of melon. Slightly tart with notes of corn syrup and papaya. Sweet malt dominates early. Citrus hops appear in finish. Interesting and very drinkable.

Caramel, pineapple, pine needle. Crystal clear amber, thick yellow head. Honey and dandelion. Subtle malt finish. Medium balance, soft carbonation. Good balance, great flavor, extra sessionable. Damn fine APA.

Can. A- Tangerines, citrus, hoppy, piney, woody. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Citrus, bitter, pine, tangerines. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- Not near as bitter as I was expecting. A fair amount of citrus, but not really that much depth. It was good but nothing I’d really crave.

Cardinal Pale Ale from Nebraska Brewery pours a beautiful copper gold with a foamy white head. Served in a pint glass it has a piney resinous aroma with hints of grapefruit. Medium bodied with a somewhat scratchy mouthfeel that says "I am here". In terms of flavor it is a clean zesty pine with a dash of citrsu/grapefruits and possibly some floral/herbal elements in the finish. A solidly satisfying pale ale.
