Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, tap at the brewery tap - Erlangen, 25/01/14. Ligthly hazed chestnut brown with a thin off white head. Nose is toffee, dark malts, nutty, almond tones, bread dough. Taste comprises bready malts, toffee, light spice, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so - lacks depth for high end 5%.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein braun-rötliches Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig würzig, Geschmack angenehm malzig würzig mit ganz minimaler Bitterkeit.

0.5l bottle. Dark ruby/brown body, light beige head. Aroma of caramel, toast and nuts. Tastes like toast and caramel with some roastyness and some grassy hops. Nice one.

Bottled 500ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest. Nice amber coloured, small off-white head, dry caramel nutty nose. Slight roasted malt, coffee and touch of alcohol with too strong sugar presence. A bit too sweet for the better rating.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from Budapest (thanks!). Poured a dark amber-orange body with a small slightly off white head. Dry coffeish nose, maltiness. Sweet strong, remarkably coffee-like malty taste. Relatively simple, one dimensional but nice.

Bottle. A clear, almost amber beer with a small, off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel dominating, some fruityness as well. Bread and caramel in the flavor with some fruityness and a little bitterness. Medium body, dry. Short, bready finish. Sure a decent, easy drinking beer, but that’s it. 090821
