Bottle picked up from the brewery last weekend, Erlangen. Saturday 17th June 2023 listening to Ditz. Pours light hazy yellow with a white head. Nice helles, a little sweetness but also a tang and some dryness and a fruity bite, malty and very decent.

On tap at the brewpub. A murky yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild grassy hops and grainy bitter malt. Taste of mild grainy malt, straw, mild spicy and grassy hops.

Tap: Pale golden, cloudy, creamy and stable white head, barnyardy and green fruity-grainy nose; mild sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; green fruity-grainy finish. Not good…

Tap at the brewpub. Very hazy golden color with creamy white head (why is this classified as Dortmunder/Helles?) Aroma is sulphuric, fruity, grainy, Fruchtgummi. Taste is juicy fruits, bready, cereal. Silky mouthfeel with high, but soft carbonation. The strong fruit flavours are irritating, but not off, so this is quite tasty, albeit simple.

Vom Faß im Steinbach-Bräu, Erlangen. - Helles Goldbraun, gut trüb. - In der Nase frisches, brotiges helles Malz, leichte Karamelnoten und Hefe. - Antrunk hefig und hellmalzig-süß mit zartem Karamel und Anklängen an Honig. Milde krautige Hopfenherbe. Stark rezent, was in Verbindung mit der Süße zu einem leicht limonadigen Eindruck führt. Im Abgang nur milde kräuterartige Hopfenherbe. - Typisches Gasthausbrauereien-Erzeugnis: hefig, aromatisch simpel und etwas dünn, in erster Linie durch unkomplizierte Frische und Süffigkeit für sich einnehmend.

Tap at the brewpub during day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a slender, white foam topping. Very tasty, with great balance, rich cereal, light bitter hay. Moderately sweet, with some white bread, mild bitter straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish, with more cereal, a little dough, a bit of straw. Lovely simple lager.

Day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly 25/01/2014. Tap at the brewery. Clouded yellow, straw coloured pour with a lasting white head, some lace.Aroma is grainy cereal, corn flakes. Flavour is crisp, some grassy stale hops, grainy. Palate is clean and crisp, slightly thin.

On tap. Hazy yellow/golden body, white head. Aroma of bread, grains, floral hops, earth and a hint of metal. Taste of bread, earthy hops and grains. OK beer.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Tap at the brewpub. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Light malt sweetness. Little peel bitterness. Light crisp finish.
