Our brewers don't get out much, but when they do, they come home with more than a sunburn. Our much-loved Double IPA is testing the tropical waters with notes of mango and citrus-derived entirely from exotic hops. Pass the conch, hold the fruit.

Can picked up from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands. Had this after a short cycle from Freising along Isar then Ettingermoos to Eitting and back, bow sat in Frank at Freising P&R the campervan area Thursday 3rd April 2025. Pours deep orange colour, hazy with a large white head. Sweet and very drinkable but yeah... this packs a punch. Mango and a little pineapple combining nicely, bitterness is there but it builds, juicy, fruity and with a warmth from the ABC. Good DIPA.

Pours hazy gold with a lingering white head. The aroma is of citrus and tropical fruit and hop resin. The flavor has moderate to high bitterness, lots of tropical fruit, and solid malt. Excellent.

Can shared in London - cheers! Pours clear gold with a small, foamy white head. Jammy citrus is present, some gooey pine, light grassy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, sticky and resinous. Old school, not bad overall.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a hazy orange gold with a thick off white head. Aromas of tropical fruit with some grassy notes lingering around. Flavors are sweet malt and mango with a substantial bitter citrus hop kick. Pretty decent.

12 ounce can from Happy Harry's 45th St Fargo, 8/19/20. Slightly hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pineapple, mango, pale malt. Taste is melon, pine, tropical fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness. Maybe the booze but something slightly chemical. Overall decent.

Can split at L6 tasting, thanks to Dave, 09/10/19. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, pine, weed, old skool leaning, toasted malts, pineapple. Taste comprises toasted grains, orange pith, grapefruit, mixed tropical fruits, light pine needle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Not bad.
