The flagship IPA uses five hop varieties to create layers of hop flavor and aroma. Citrus and floral notes are upfront, and an assertive, yet not overpowering, bitterness balances the malt base. This is an easy-drinking IPA for hop heads everywhere!

650 ml bottle, in Nevada City, probably from Costco, Sacramento.Deep golden to orange colour, white head. A typical West Coast IPA with citrussy and piney hops, but not as extreme as some. The hops are fairly well balanced with the malts. I really liked this one.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice deep clear gold body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma is very light offering up spicy to grassy hoppiness and then followed by some malts and then almost a cracker sort of note. The taste is smooth and gets into a decent amount of pine hops balanced by some malt sweetness. To midway it gets a little grapefruit and tangelo like and those citrus notes only build into the finish. At the finish a thin feeling body is noticed but this doesn’t really distract from the taste all that much. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Light pine and grapefruit flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers.

Tap at West Coast Brew Fest 2010. Pours copper with a foamy off-white head. Seems very floral. Both aroma and taste are floral. Exquisite. Fine bitter finish.
