Lublin to Dublin is the third collaboration between ourselves and Pinta. This time we have opted for a 7% Foreign Extra Stout to complete the trilogy of Stouts and we really can’t wait for fans old and new of this collaboration series to taste it.

Brewed at O’Hara’s Brewery, this Foreign Extra Stout is intense, full-bodied and complex. The pronounced roast flavours bring forward the more subtle dark malt characteristics of aniseed, vanilla and dried fruit. The addition of Polish hops with their unique heavy and earthy flavours perfectly balance the intensity of the dark malts, providing a great backbone for this full, satisfying brew.

Butelka: Literally black, big and slowly collapsing creamy tanned head; rich nose of roasted malt, dried fruits and herbal hops, ashes, leather and coffee also detectable; pretty solid bitter-sweet flavour, nearly full bodied; dry lingering toasty-ashy finish with dried fruits and coffee. Very well balanced, very well made stuff. Moreish...

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a nice large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet black chocolate notes with light roasted malt notes is quite enticing. Taste is a mix of sweet black chocolate notes with some light roasted malt notes with light coffee notes and hints of residual sugar notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Enjoyable for a style that should be brewed more often.

Bottle, 7.0%. Powerful aroma of roasted malts, tar, raw liquorice, vanilla and spicy hops. Almost black colour. Seems clear with a red shine. OK creamy tan head. The flavour starts off a little sweet with a smokey touch and some raw liquorice. Has some salt liquorice. Slightly yeasty finish.
