2016 vintage shared at bottle share. Had heard such good things about this. What a disappointment. Did not age well. Bandaids come through in the aroma and taste, and it seemed if it was going bad. What a shame.

Bottle, 2015 vintage. Deep dark brown pour with a modest tan head and wispy bits of lacing. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, and bits of the barrel treatment. The barrel has softened the hops and bittersweet cocoa that I found in the base beer; flavor is more roast, oak, vanilla, bourbon.

On tap at the Meridian brewery. Black with a fine tan skin and a thin sheet of lacing. Modest roast aroma. Flavors are again, modest and roasty. Some licorice and dark chocolate. Significant bourbon flavors and a fairly dry and thin palate. Not a huge Imperial Stout but decent. Balanced and easy. Would not have guessed the 10+ ABV

Wax then cork no cage bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is tons of oak roast malts chocolate coffee and some booze. Taste is more of the heavy oak chocolate coffee roast malts and more of the oak.
