Draft @ the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roast and light smoke, a bit malty. Taste is robust in roasted and toasted malts, faint smoky bits, and a little bittersweet chocolate. A very good core offering.

On tap at the brewery. Deep black. Thin very brief tan head. Simple straight forward roasty flavors. Some coffee and a little camp fire. Safe and simple stout. Not bad.

Draft at the brewery. Pitch black with small ring of beige head. Normal roast grain aromas, taste follows with a bit more of the roast grains, big bitterness. Body seems a bit thin, but still flows nice. Lingering bitter finish, mildly sweet.

On tap at mad Swede brewing. Pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is light ash roast malts a touch of coffee and a little sweetness. Taste is more of the light ash notes roast malt a nice dry end.
