Idaho, our home. Distinctly one of the best places in the world to brew beer. Barley from Idaho Falls and malted in Pocatello, within 3 hours. Hops from Wilder and Parma, within 3 hours. And Big Wood water that falls as snow high on the mountains within 40 miles. The result is a hoppy, San Diego style, aromatic, and dank IPA. Low malt, clear, and all hops while still being balanced enough to not exhaust your pallet.

Grains: Idaho Malted 2-Row Barley, Dextrapils, Vienna Malt, Caramel Malt
Hops: Columbus, Idaho 7, Chinook, Mosaic
Dry Hop: Idaho 7, Citra, Mosiac
Yeast: House Ale

16 oz from Costco. Aroma is worty, piney, floral, grainy, grapefruit. Pours hazy sunshine golden with a two finger cream-white head with excellent retention leaving curtains of lace. Taste is highly bitter with a pithy piney hop profile. Solid NW IPA.

A few cans from a sixer grabbed recently at Albertsons. Really like the logo/artwork, nice to rep the home state. Amber orange in color with a small beige head. Aroma is mostly citrus and floral, a little bit of caramel malts. Sweet citrus and aggressive hop bitterness? still very drinkable. Piney, but enough caramel to sooth.

On tap at bitter Creek boise. Pours out a crisp golden copper topped with a white head. Nose is pine citrus hops and some bread malts. Taste is more of the nice pacific Northwest hop combo and a grain touch.

On Tap clear light amber. Full lasting rocky head and heavy chunky lacing. Big pithy piney op aroma. Mostly resiney and pine in the flavors. Long lingering hop flavors...plenty bitter. A little chemically.

4/10/2020 - 12 oz can for Idaho Beer Month. Hazy, deep golden pour, small tight head, solid lacing. Aroma is some dry, dusty caramel malts. Muted sweetness in the taste, persistent dull bitterness, earthy. Sways more to the malts, but the little bit of hops lingers for a while. A bit of a down grade. 3.5 Prior: 3.7 Growler from Albertsons. This version, at 6.1% ABV, would push the definition big session. Hazy, cloudy orange golden body with small, tight head. Aroma features light citrus notes, and detectable sweet malt. Taste is a toss up between the malts and hops, nicely blended. End result is a tasty, refreshing ale, medium weight , bittersweet finish . Not a session, but no problem killing a growler by myself either.
