It is with great pride and gratitude we offer The Divine, a bourbon-barrel aged brown ale of ethereal character. The strong brown ale base brew left to meditate in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels for the better part of a year. The celestial slumber brought forth wondrous flavors and aromas of wooden vanilla, toffee, caramel, black licorice, and dark fruit, accompanied by a pleasant bourbon warmth. Cheers to nine great years! 9.0% ABV, 43 IBU

Black pour, with a big beige head. Big woody, earthy Aroma.. Loads of Bourbon, dark caramels, molasses and strong toasty, roasty, nutty malts. The body and carb are thinner than expected, mouthfeel is a touch oily. Sweet finish, with a nice sugar pie, roasted nuts finish. Excellent stuff!

Dark brown. Thin head. Lots of bourbon coming off the nose. Light chocolate, too, with mellow vanilla. Has a balanced character, so much vanilla it’s close to root beer, great chocolate character. All kinds of bourbon but not too sweet. All in good balance. Thanks, Matt!

500mL bottle, pours a deep black with a reddish tinge and a small tan / light brown head. Aroma brings out big bourbon barrels upfront, followed by caramel and deep dark fruits. Flavour is lush and complex, with loads of lightly smoky bourbon barrels upfront, followed by caramel, bready malts and dark fruits. Big bourbon dominates this though, with a smooth finish. Excellent.

Stubby little 500 ml bottle. Pours a almost black color, really it is brown red with a large brown head. A big malty nose huge bourbon. Mellow really, toasted malt, brown sugar, grainy, big sweet vanilla bourbon. Awesome, really smooth.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Wow! Barrel aging adds tons of context to this brown. Normal pour, but aroma instantly raises the game with a nice sweet, woody aroma. Taste echoes the aroma, adding more of the barrel notes, earthy, peaty, minor molasses sweetness. All browns should taste this good.

500 ml bottle from Tavour. Nose is vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, and raisins. Clear very dark brown with a big heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet, fruity, and chocolaty. Nice stuff.
