Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburs Foco. Pours a clear reddish brown appearance with a thin tan head. Milk chocolate, nutty, almond, toasty malty, caramel, a bit herbal aroma. Fairly herbal, a bit earthy hoppy chocolate, somewhat nutty, somewhat thin flavor. Ok.

12 ounce bottle - more of a dark red than brown - fizzy, short-lived head - nose is rather mellow - a bit of nuttiness, mild sweetness, light mineral, and a mildly earthy maltiness - moderate carbonation - a little thin bodied - initially rather sweet, with light bit of toffee - drier late, with a light burton-esque quality, but not enough to completely wash the sweetness away - moderate bitterness in the finish - a touch of warmth - nothing flawed, just a little thin and boring.

Bomber. Dark chocolate aroma. Dark brown color with a three finger beige head. Medium body with fine carbonation; almost chewy. Flavor is lots of chocolate, dark roasted malt, and bitter (probably burnt malt and hop). Finish is dry, and the bitter is persisting. Seems to be really good for a brown ale. Damn near crisp.

Bottle: Dark brown pour with a nice sized beige head. Aroma is malty and roasty. Flavor is roasty, toffee, and nutty. Feels like a traditional PNW brown ale... easy drinker.

This beer was much better before they had all their malting troubles in 97. On cask it was their best
