Think about it. If nothing wasn’t here to keep things apart, everything would be one big, stressfull, balled up, messy thing. Probably boring too. Which is why pausing to enjoy nothing is a very good thing. With Hale to Nothing, of course.
There’s nothing artificial or phoney in it. Only good stuff.
Like organic malted barley and hops that give this ale its own, individual refreshing taste.
We think that’s something special.
So relax.

Nothing in particular
We use echological Pilsener- and Munchenermalt. For hops, we use echological Perle plus Centennial and Fuggles. It has a flavoury taste with a slightly hint of citrus.
Hale is somewhat malty and well balanced.
There’s nothing artificial or phoney in it. Only good stuff.

Bottle. Clear, golden liquid with medium egg-white head. Aroma of corn, stale earthy hops, metal, bread and some cereal. Some sulfur. Maybe some grassy hops. Smells like a cheap eurolager. Where is the Centennial hops? Not good. Taste is dry with a metallic, medium bitterness with toasty, biscuity notes and a little corn. Light bodied with too high carbonation and watery mouthfeel. Another dissapointment from Spendrups/Brutal Brewing. Why won’t they brew the beers they had at SBWF?

330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours clear golden with a small frothy and fizzy white head without leaving much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, malty and slightly stale with yeasty bread, orange zest, grass and hints of caramel, metal and plums. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, yeast, orange peal, bread, unripe mango and lots of wet grass. Mouthfeel is sharp, watery, slightly unbalanced and thin bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter and stale with old bread, silage and hints of citrus and grass. Neither tastes nor smells good. Not very ecological to waste foodstuffs making this.

Bottled. Clear deep golden, minimal head. Dusty nose where citrus tries to cover boiled vegetables. Dryish with clean hard mouthfeel. Salty ashy finish with some metal. Lifeless and pointless macroswill.

Bottle from SB cons 2012-04-03 Göteborg Ar: watery hops, white sugar Ap: dark copper, 2 cm high frothy fizzy transparent white deminishing head F: hoppy, corn, white bread, watery, fizzy, a bit higher then average bitterness, finish is bitter, water and bread

330ml Bottle - Amber with a small head. Dried apricot, hops, toffee and malt in the aroma. Bitter and moderately hoppy taste with notes of tea, metal, dried fruit and caramel. I never used to expect much from ’Brutal Brewing’, but my expectations have risen a bit recently. This, however, is something of a disappointment.
