On tap hazy reddish brown. Party and chemically aromas and flavors. Some woody maltiness and a little plastic band aid note. Disappointing.

Pours deep brown with small beige head. Chocolate and wood smoke are noticeable aromas. Taste is spot on scotch: peat, earth, wood, some dark chocolate. Smooth with some lingering stickiness. Good stuff.

Rating from 6/10/13. Bomber. Pours hazy brown with red highlights; off-white head with great retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma consists of toasted marshmallow, fresh baked bread, earth, peat. Taste is sweet, smoky and nutty with restrained bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is deliciously creamy, carbonation fairly soft. Fantastic.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy dark brown color with a small grey head. A nice malty nose with some smoke. Very sweet, earthy, big smoke and some meat. Berries and a little bit of heat. Finishes with vanilla and chocolate and smoke. Pretty good. The carbonation and body is a bit thin.

Tap at brewpub: Pours a muddled brown and burgundy with a large beige head. Aroma is fruity, raisons, toffee, and a bit smokey. Flavor is rich with maltiness and a bit more of the smoke flavors. Some lingering florals in the tail, as well as a little dark fruit. Nice, a little more character than the original.
