It was 25 years ago that we planted our flag in North County San Diego. We showed up to a modest, empty warehouse with some mighty big dreams. We thought people deserved a world with better beer, and were determined to be part of a cultural transformation we believed could happen… even though few others shared our vision. This massive triple IPA is another important milestone on our continuing journey. Speaking of journeys, for reasons you may guess, our 25th Anniversary Celebration in 2021 will be a bit understated for such a monumental anniversary, so we’ve decided to hold our big event in 2022 with the Stone 25+1 Years In The Making Anniversary Celebration. After a quarter of a century and quite a few twists and turns, we’re still here. Here for hops. Here for quality. Here for making great mistakes. Here for more good times. Here for another round. We thank you sincerely for the years of support and pledge that we will, as always, strive to live up to the reasons for your loyalty!

25 years calls for a momentous beer – this Triple IPA will not disappoint! Clocking in at 12.5%, this massively hopped IPA is a true celebration in a bottle of 25 years of exploration, innovation, and of course, great beers. Conceived originally by Kris Ketcham, Sr. Manager, Brewing & Innovation for the 7th Anniversary of Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, this beer demanded to be amped up even more and released nationally to celebrate the Big One. Here’s to 25 more!

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is resinous hop with malt, pine resin, some caramel, grapefruit, sugary orange. Bitter flavour with a moderate sweetness and some lingering alcohol in the finish. Above medium body. A tad boozy, but nice bitter resinous West Coast vibes.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some alcohol and mild nutty tones along with some ripe fruits. Flavour is sweet malts, quite spicy and very very bitter. Stone kicking ass and proving that a strong DIPA really kicks ass among all the New England juices without bitterness.

330ml can at Battle of Bull, Cheras, Selangor, Malaysia. Poured a slightly hazy over medium amber colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light toffee. The flavour is over moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, dank, resin, toffee malt, warm alcohol, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Packed 11/08/21, bbe 11/08/22. Pretty old stuff. Bit hazy golden beer with huge and cloudy, stable natural white head. Aroma has pine, wood, resin and booze. Flavor has grapefruit, malts, wood, resin and booze. Quite heavy and way too old. I can see the potential, though.
