Bottle, 0.33l. Pitch black pour, no head. No lacing. Woody and liquory nose, fruity notes in the background, mildly sour. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel, chewy, oily texture, soft on the palate. Balanced bittersweet taste with a touch of fruity sour notes. Moderately strong alcohol presence, bourbon. Wooden barrel notes are also quite strong in this one. Background is filled with toasted caramel, roasted malt, coffee and cocoa notes. Forest fruits and berries. Liquorice. Nicely warming, a bit sticky, dry, subtle lingering alcohol burn on the tongue. Long lasting finish, liquory, subtle latte notes. Excellent brew.
