Bottle at Ambar, Munich. Fine foam, medium brown, light malty aroma. Sweet as expected for a strong imperial, but well balanced with a bit of sourness. Decent hop load but not overpowering. Would and did drink again ;-)

Fläschla (Dank, Max!): Literally black, small and slowly collapsing brown head; moderate sourish-bitter nose of chocolate,vanilla and toasted malt, some weak fruity traces of dried berries hardly detectable; pretty solid dryish bitter-sourish flavour with a certain residual sweetness; medium to full bodied, not so soft; lingering finish of bitter-chocolate and toasted malt. Not the worst drink for a warm summer evening...

Bottle @ Kings Day Tasting 2018. Dark brown to black color, huge sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, light tart, liquorice, malty tart-bitter. Hmm don't like that tart.

Bottle from McTapps, European Local Swap. Many thanks! Dark brown/black colour, brown foam. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, and vinegar, lots of vinegar. Taste is awfully sour. Infected.

33cl bottle. Poured pitch black with a thick espresso head, everlasting. Sour berries in aroma, getting raspberries. Ashy, roasted malty, sourness. Not that pleasant.

33cl bottle. A almost black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting brownish head. Aroma of sweet caramelish dark malt, cookies, chocolate. Taste of dark chocolate, sweet malt, liquorice, burned malt, medium to high carbonation.

Cremig malziger Beginn. Deutliche Aromen von Schokolade, moderat herb, vollmundig. Bitterschokolade, erhöhte Karbonisierung, trockene Aromen von vergorenen Früchten, etwas Cranberry und Pflaume, weiter Schokolade. Lecker. 10/12/12/12/9/12
