Shared 500 ml swingtop bottle, brought fresh from Germany by gunnar. ABV is 7.2%. Fruity sweetish aroma, esters more than hops, perhaps? - notes of green apples. Sweet flavour, the hops are there, but fairly moderate for an IPA. Not entirely successful.

Flaske delt med RBHD-guttene juni-13: ikke det samme som Fritz (som var den forrige), her er det på alle måter en slappere humle- og maltprofil. Ikke spesielt dårlig, men heller ikke spesielt god. Passabel, med andre ord.

Bottle, 6.9%. Good grassy and caramelly hop aroma, smells American. Cloudy dark orange colour. Almost no head. The flavour has the same hop note as the aroma, refreshingly grassy and clean. Good sweetness, but not too much and balanced by a distinct and clean bitterness. Very low carbonation, too low in my opinion.

Bottle @ Cafe Abseits, Bamberg. Pours unclear orange with a small creamy off white head. Yeast and dusty hoppy nose with some fruity notes. Really bitter flavor and finish with notes of peach, grass and grain. Medium bodied. Quite messy and unrefined. A homebrew feel to it!

Bottle (@Café Abseits, Bamberg): Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head; solid hoppy nose with a distinctive caramelly background; solid dry bitter flavour; hops sticking to the palate, dry bitter-caramelly finish. Keep on brewing these styles......

bottle from Frankenland, ABV 7.2%. Deep golden, orange colour, creamy eggshell-coloured head. Fruity nose. Full-bodied, solid malty base with lots if intensive citrusy hops. Bitter-sweet character, a real pleasure. A superb beer in my opinion.

Slightly hazy with a thin head. The aroma is bland, English. Sweetish with fuggley notes and light caramel. Sticky finish, but does show a hint of dryness. There are structural issues - the bitterness is from some German hop and it gets vegetal. The aroma hops are probably Fuggles and they aren’t really conducive to an IPA.
