Flavour is chocolate, mild toasted malts, nuts as well as some slight wooden and floral notes. Somehow this doppelbock got me into thinking Christmas...

Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Malty aroma of bread, biscuit, toffee and fresh grain, with a fresh fruity note. Clean malty flavour with fruity character, thoough more fresh apple and plum, then the dried fruit/port wine notes of the best German versions. In general could use a little more richness to play with the best

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear nutty brown with an off-white head. Thick burned caramel in the nose. Rich and filling body, loads of good malts here giving the usual notes of pumpernickel. Warming finish. Nothing spectacular but solid and well brewed. 070413
