Bottle from Tesco. Black body with a beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Patchy lacing. Aroma of ginger, marzipan and dark chocolate. Flavour of marmalade, lightly roasted malt and vanilla. Medium bodywork with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. An interesting and tasty dark beer, one of my supermarket go-tos.

Rate 3.9, best before 10/24, drinking it at Haute-Nendaz, on sunday, just before my exam. Interesting and nice porter brewed on the English way, roasty, coffee, some perfumed and light spicy note, a bit fruity, aromatic, regular bitterness.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours black with nice creamy beige head. Aroma of dry dark malts, liquorice, caramel, sweet scented herbs. Taste is very much roasted dry malts, coffee, caramel, some sweetness in the middle with a tangy berry, and a hoppy herbal moderate bitter, roasty and ginger finish. Near medium bodied, slick but dry, fine carbonation.
