Draught at Ølbaren
Hazy amber color, with orange shades; compact, medium-sized creamy head; sticky lace.
The hop aroma is very fresh, fruity (oranges, a splash of mango), but also with a pleasant, delicate, yeasty and cheesy presence; finally milky.
Strong body, toffee and caramel flavor, but, gosh, so dry! In this desert, the bitterness finds no opponent; the hopping is extreme, very resiny and a bit fruity too.
For the above conditions, the final is rather harsh, excessively bitter, with hop resins that will make your tongue retract to the back of the throat.
It’s an experience on its own, as much as drinking a Penguin.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy orange body with a diminishing off-white head. Fruity aroma of citrus like grapefruit, peach and some pine. Flavor is sweet malt, quite bitter and lots of citric fruit. Smooth and bitter.

On tap at KØ-10. A hazy, orange-golden beer with a small, off-white head. Quite lovely aroma, with citrus peel and pines, low on malty aromas. The flavor has a good, lasting bitterness, some malty sweetness as a base, and pine cones and resins. Full-bodied, smooth and quite dry. A beer that leans towards the dry, hoppy flavors, but still feels balanced. Really nice. 100508

On tap. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Fat and intense peachy hops in the nose. Medium body, some caramel and fruit and then again massive notes of juicy peachy hops leaving a fairly solid bitterness. 080510

8th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Thanks to Rune for sharing this beer. Hazy amber beer - good off white head. Light soft palate that starts crisp but quickly turns soft. Some fresh hops, not overdone. Pine, grapefruit and some orange. Finishes dry. Not bad.

Draught at KØ10. Weak caramelly hop aroma. Hazy dark amber colour. Small frothy tan head. The flavour is nicely hoppy. A little wet hop note, Nelson Sauvin or something like that. But good nevertheless.
