Our take on a New England IPA. With no bittering hops, just a funk load of Citra and Mosaic for an absolute juice bomb of a beer with a beautifully strong tropical aroma. A deep orange haze in colour and a tropical explosion of flavour.

Bottle (from Ales by Mail). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, some tropical fruits, mild yeast. Flavour is fruity, citrusy and some mild tart/sour tones. In a way quite nice, but at the same time nothing like the real thing.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear, bright gold with a lively, frothy pure white head. Some dried herbs in the nose, lemon peel, grass. Light sweet flavour with some flinty minerality, more grass and citrus peel, crispy pale grains. Light bodied with active, mouth-filling, massaging carbonation. Somewhat dry in the finish, with some flinty dryness, straw, more lemon rind, pith, inklings of citric tang, some wheat bread. Interesting stuff overall. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours unclear yellow. Aroma is farmhouse yeast, stables, floral. Body is light, chicoree wooden bitterness, strongly, almost astringently bitter. Not too many flavours though. Juicy. Quite good.

Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow-golden color with white head. Aroma is spicy, farty, a bit soapy, also fruity, phenolic. Taste is fruity, flowery, phenolic, citrusy. Bitter finish, but seems like a woody bitterness. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Tasty!

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of straw, light funk. Taste is tangy, bretty, some caramel at the back. I guess that's the unhopped vibe. Interesting.

Bottle at home, 02/09/17. Clear golden with a well appointed white head that retains well. Nose is mellow fecal tones, lemon rind, vanilla, damp oak, straw, subtle bett. Taste comprises light citric sherbets, damp wood, toasted grains, sweet edge for a sour, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok sour ... nice and easy brett strokes but overall lacks depth and complexity.
