Bottle picked up at Edeka, Stein Park, Freising Saturday 15th June 2019 and consumed the same day, listening to the W.H.Lung album and having just prepared some lemon chicken for the BBQ tonight. Pours amber with a haze and with a large sticky white head, lovely silky soft mouthfeel. The aroma is wheaty but with a little tang of something fruity/acidy like rhubarb. Wheaty with a lovely hoppy bite, good fruity but wheaty. Nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before April 2020. A bit hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy, gently fruity aroma of clove, overripe banana, orange jam and some mango. Gently sweet, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny and gently yeasty-spicy taste of banana, orange jam, mango, clove and a touch of strawberry, followed by a short, gently grassy-bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly resiny finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Exactly what it promises to be, a nice cross-over of a Hefeweizen and an IPA. Well done!

Bottle thnx to Kurt. pours daek, rather unclear copperamber. Small white fluffy head, medium stability. Smell is fruity. i do get the cloves from the yeast, Yet banana is more to the background. Fruityness is provided more by the hops, than the yeast here, making it more 'bright' rather than the ' heavy' esters. Taste is intense, bitter, bit dry even due to the bitterness and rather high carbonation. But the finish isn't dry. The yeast takes over (phenols, providing the clove factor ) and the beer turns rather creamty (like a weisse, rather than a NEIPA ) Wheat is noticable . Nort bad at all. Perhaps not my favorite hybrid though…But you gotta admit, they had a plan, and executed acordingly, and succesfully !

Bottle. Dark amber orange, fluffy head. Mango, pine, honey, spicy hops, some caramel. Hoppy bitterness, some malty sweetness. Medium bodied, soft carbonated, dry finish. More an APA than a wheat ale.

Köpt flaska i Braufactums butik vid Alexanderplatz, Berlin. Smak och doft av humle, malt, grön banan, mango, vete, blodapelsin med toner av citrusskal. Fruktig, lagom sötma, fin balans och beska. Gott!
