(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20170120) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had dark chocolate, burnt malts and cocoa. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation.  Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, cocoa, sweetness, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A nice sweetish stout.

Bottled@Koht, Tallinn. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is fruity, some nutty and ashy notes along with mild toffee. Flavour is quite similar in a nice balance, and also giving a quite strong chocolaty edge to it. Some alcohol, but not disturbing.

33cl bottle as a gift. Pours close to pitch black with a modest, beige head. Malty aroma, slightly earthy, with roasted malt, dark fruits, dark chocolate and hints of dark berries, coffee and spices. Medium sweet and slightly vinous with medium flavour intensity and a light bitterness. Feels quite balanced. Tasty and enjoyable porter. --- Beer merged from original tick of EV98 on 17 May 2016 at 22:39 - Score: 7

Bottle (from UJH, BB 03.2017) Pours dark brown-black with brown head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is intense dark chocolate, roast, malt, cocoa. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, malt, dark chocolate, oat. Finish is roast bitter and slightly acidic. Alcohol is well covered mostly. Overall: good (better than Sigmund), but this still has the acidic notes which I don’t enjoy.

Pours nice pitch black, minimal head and almost no carbonation. Aroma is sweetish, full of roast and some slight sour. Feels like burnt and roasted black bread - and actually it also tastes the same way. Body is strong, my sips full of character - burnt black bread, charcoal also something a bit sour to undertone the characteristics of this beer. It does feel like black rye bread on steroids, so probably this would be wonderfully paired with sprat sandwich or something else Estonians like to eat on our Independence Day. Long dusty and bone dry finish, roast bitterness just lingers and lingers. Overall, definitely well executed beer from a new brewery, brewed according to the concept, so this is even extra. Good stuff, maybe a bit one-sided but still enjoyable.
