A medium bodied IPA brewed with hops to give it a sweet fruit or Mandarin aroma and flavor. We then dry-hopped in the firkin to give it another layer of complexity to this ale.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced via Beergium. Pours clear copper-orange with a foamy, white head. The nose holds ripening citrus fruits, pine, bready malts, oranges. Medium sweet flavour with moderate piney and rindy bitterness, some jammy citrus, lightly caramelised sugars, more bready malts. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Resinous and lightly warming in the finish, with more citrus fruits, low bitterness, some oily pine, gummy citrus candies, white grape, melon. Not bad overall.

Light haze on this deep gold beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, fairly dry. Reasonable carbonation. Mildly sweet malts. Dry piney hop. Bitterish hop skunk. Slightly bitter orange peel. Light dry spicy finish. A bit dry and bitter, I can't recall a more aggressive Mandarina hopped beer.

Bottle. Clear amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, piney, old hops. Taste is caramel, toffee, piney, earthy, bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Okay, not so much Mandarina noticeable for me.

On tap @ CBF Düsseldorf. Smooth mild beginning. Sweetish, round and refreshing with a sticky malty aftertaste. Nice with fresh fruity floral parts, the hops are a bit in the back.

Pours a light copper, with mid-sized head. Aroma of bread and malt, with some hops. Flavor is very malty, with some bitter hops in the background. I prefer a more hop-forward IPA.

12oz bottle. Deep and malty. I assume they use Mandarina hops in it, but hard to verify that. Mango comes through the most, in a subdued and more natural way than others, add some fleshy depth. Resinous piny hop tones behind the creamy fruity tones. Kind of awkward. OK.

Pour is a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is a big sweet malt with some orange peel. Flavor is fruity with some mango and orange but then everything is overtaken by a big hit of sweet caramel malt. A bit too much malt presence to get the alcohol up to 8%. This is a beer that could have benefited from a less heavy malt bill, the fruit addition would have been more pronounced and this would have gotten a better score.
