Dark, intense and full-flavoured, it is our tribute to the Vikings and their cultural legacy in Orkney. The first thing to touch the islands would have been their long ship's Dragonhead.
Dragonhead is brimming over with rich roast malt and roast barley flavours. Aromas of bitter chocolate, roast coffee and spicy dark fruits are complemented by a complex, bitter blend of hop varieties.
Hops: Challenger, East Kent Goldings
Malts: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Malted Wheat, Black, Roasted Barley

Cask @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours black, small tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet berries, some chocolate and coffee. Taste bears a curious plummy sweetness alongside chocolate, dark malts and caramel. Something not quite cohesive about it tho. Old maybe?

BOTTLE 50 CL. Opaque black, medium espresso head. The aroma is complex and bizarre, changing with time and temperature. Starts with something roasted and fresh vegetables - pumpkin, carrots, fresh figs. Some smoked wood and malt sweetness too. As the beer warms up, it gets more winy. The taste seems dry and light-bodied, coffee beans, juts a bit of malt sweetness and winy acidity. The finish shift through coffee, ashes and some hop bitterness. Almost flat carbonation and a smooth body. Simple, yet complex... and well done.
