Pours clear amber with a beige head. Malty aroma. Toasted malt, caramel, stone fruit flavors. Sweet finish.

Bottle picked up at the Kloster. Brown with a creamy, white head. Aroma of toasted grains with earthy overtones and a hint of prunes. Caramel too, but fairly restrained. Taste is roasted bitter throughout. Lingering bitter finish with a touch of ash. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Very nice Dunkles.

Deep brown mahogany pour from .5 l bottle. Thin white lacing. Roasted malts and bread, soem caramel and chocolate. Nicely done.

Bottle. Chestnut brown with a large head. Aroma is a nutty, malty fare with hints of grains and a whiff of dried fruit. Taste is slightly sweet up front with roasted grains in the middle and a mellow finish.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours deep reddish - brown with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toasty, earthy roast, bitter - sweet character, malt loaf, molasses, dried fruits and toasted fruit cake. The taste is crispy, fairly snappy, toasty, earthy roast, bitter - sweet, dried fruits, sultana, raisin, toasted fruit cake, touch of tannin, malt loaf, toasty brown bread, ryvita, and spice with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavourful, rounded and moreish. A classy dunkel.

Deep mahagoni. Aroma is chestnut caramel light pistacchio. Taste is sweet toffee with a light carbonation induced freshness. Pretty smooth but some rough bubbles. Ok drinkability. Medium body, medium finish. Ok.

Bottle from the Packie. Pours a deep copper color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Rich toasty bready maltiness with light dried fruits and hints of earthy spicy hopes to counter. Nice Dunkel.

Bottle from State Line. Clear, dark amber, one finger head. Aroma is sweet malts, brown sugar. Taste continues with the sweet malt, light roast and a soft dry finish.
