Nice floral hoppy beginning. Lots of nice roasted malt, dry malty with a nice hoppy piney body. Malt, intense floral hops, smooth, nice and round. Very nice lack IPA!

Opaque black - brown beer, large pale tan head. Palate is light and crisp. The dark malts are airy and have a nice cream. Mild roast. Good red berry fruits lead in to spicy pine hops. Trace of juicy marmalade. Light finish. Mellow roast and pine linger on. Nicely joined up and very drinkable.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an orangey, dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Nose has some licorice and a little tar, greasy hops. Medium body, sweet thick, roasty malt - a little smoke? Some roasty rather than hoppy bitterness. Not sure I agree on the malt bill completely here, but it’s a very decent Black IPA. 060115
