So hieß es einst, als das Bier in unserer Schlosswirtschaft noch aus der Kanne ausgeschenkt wurde. Viele Gäste kamen nur wegen des guten Hellen, das es hier gab.
Nicht wenige aber auch wegen der feschen Liesl. So war es kein Wunder, dass bald beide, die Liesl und das Brauhaus mit seinem Bier, weit über die Grenzen von Moos bekannt und die Liesl für viele Jahre zum Markenzeichen der Brauerei wurde.
Dieses Original Helle gibt es jetzt wieder und die gute Mooser Liesl als Original- Marke auch. Heute wie damals, mit speziellen Malzsorten & Naturhopfen vollendet gebraut, macht dieses Bayrisch Helle den Biergenuss zu einem unvergleichlichen Geschmackserlebnis.

In den letzten Jahren haben einige Brauereien in unser Gegend ein neues Helles herausgebracht. Alle urig in der Aufmachung (die weiß-blaue Bayernraute wird fast inflationär auf dem Etikett verwendet), abgefüllt in der dicken Euroflasche (obwohl die Brauerei für alle anderen Biere die schlanke NRW-Flasche verwendet) und von süffigem Charakter. Vermutlich das erfolgreichste dieser neuen Hellen dürfte die Mooser Liesl vom Arcobräu in Moos sein (nicht zu verwechseln mit Graf Arco in Eichendorf / Adldorf). Nicht zu malzig, nicht zu hopfig. Schön weich. Wird im Mittelteil und hintenraus etwas gallig - aber deutlich unter der Grenze, wo es unangenehm wird. Somit gut trinkbar. Dürfte den meisten schmecken. Ein Bier das vor allem mit seiner Süffigkeit überzeugt und sich ideal für heiße Tage und den großen Durst ist. Wer noch eine Halbe zum Abschluss eines harten Tages trinken will, wird aber vermutlich etwas anderes wählen.

Shared bottle on train from Bologna to Parma with IPT 16.04.19. Very pale and clear straw colour. White head and lacing. Moderate aroma and taste of pale pilsner malt and grassy hops. Utterly forgettable.

Foggy golden, good white head. Smell & taste: malt and hops of good quality. Interesting hop profile. Light bitterness. Decent helles.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty, light sweetish. Wheaty-spicy hints. Finish mild, well balanced. Not bad.

From the bottle. Pale gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of grains, honey and sour apples. Taste is sweet for the duration with a very mild bitterness complementing the finish. Body is medium, carbonation soft, the beer has a nice feel in the mouth. Ok for the style.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before July 2019. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains, some straw and hints of vanilla. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, some straw and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Helles, nothing wrong with it.

500ml bottle; BB 28th Mar 19. Shared with my brother-in-law on the evening of 2nd Sep 18 at my place. Clear and clean golden body, fast fading white crown. Nice soft golden body, clean and clear, sadly the head refused to hang around and soon became a wisp and collar. Decent blend with slightly more maltiness in both the aroma and taste, nice floral hop bitterness for balance.

Clear pale blond beer, big creamy white head, soapy bath foam texture, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, lots of grains, hay, cow fodder, bit sweetish, nutty touch, some marzipan. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, grains, little sour, fruity touch, some pears, slightly sweet. Aftertaste: bitter touch, malty, grains, some citrus, hoppy touch, fruity finish.

33cl stubby pours a clear gold with some sticky, white head. Nose is OK, perhaps a bit cheap, stale malts, a little wet paper, straw, lemon, honey. Flavor has pale malts, straw, honey, lemon. Finishes a bit watery.

Heller, trocken getreidiger Start. Moderat süß, steigend hellmalzig. Süßlich bleibend, süffig, mild bitterer Hintergrund. Nett. 8/10/10/8/7/9
