Bottle, 75cl corked, Ørbæk edition. It’s an unclear one, dark amber in color and topped by a big, dense, off-white head. The aroma is roasted, with caramel and licorice. Perhaps a spiced hint, but the alcohol level is well hidden. It’s warming and full bodied, nicely carbonated, and with flavors of sweetness, licorice, some roasted malt and a spiced touch. Sweet finish. Although a bit warming on the palate, it’s a fine beer, not overly complex, but tasteful and pleasant. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 121130
Bottle, 33cl, Stensbogaard edition. An almost clear one, dark amber in color and with a small, beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with a little caramel and some notes of dms. Some sweetness in the flavor, with roasted malts and caramel. Quite full-bodied and lighlty warming on the palate, soft carbonation. Some bitterness towards the end. Think I prefer the Ørbæk batch. 140118

75 cl bottle vintage 2011 @ Timo A, BBE
Aroma is sweet and quite light with some brown sugar and belgian yeast. Flavour is rather spicy with some brown sugar, malt and herbs. Warming finish. Too strong on spices and also a bit too sweet. Could be a belgian strong ale as well.

Corked bottle, courtesy of Humlelala
Dark color, almost black, with brown rim; it has medium sized creamy head. Nice and mild aroma of roasted malt, treacle and firewood. Medium body strength, good flavor of caramel, some roasted malt, roasted nuts, also some oxidation; the residual sugars are very limited. The bitterness is correct.
Quite good.

Bottle @ Papsø. Fairly clear, reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Richly syrupy, raisin, dark fruity, rich toffee aroma. Well carbonated. Rich, dark toffee, brown sugar, plum, raisin, a bit nutty flavor. Delicious stuff and smooth with little note of booze.
