Dark unclear reddish. Creamy head. Basement notes, raisin, lemon, roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, nuts. Mild dry bitterness, roasty malty fruity sweetness. Medium to lively bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry roasty malty bittersweet finish. A very rural Schwarzbier, tasty!

Bottle. Aroma is dark/brown malts with a hint of roast. Caramel, some toffee and nutty notes. Mild sweet with a decent bitterness. Medium body. In between a Schwarz and a Dunkel Lager.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Fine Schwarzbier from Oberfranken, black looks and have an roasted malty taste with hints of caramel.

Very dark brown with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma, strong with roasted tones, promises toasted grains, caramel and the faint hint of red currants. Taste is bitter with a berry tartness that feels overdone. Finishes the same. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation. Pleasant, and probably better than most Schwarzbiers I’ve tried.

Clear dark mahogany with a medium off white head. Aroma had roasted malt, caramel and subtle coffee. Over the palate came toasted malt, caramel, light toffee and an off dry finish.

Draft. Copper beer with a dark cream head. Caramel aroma. Caramel and light mineral flavor with light grass and light roast. Medium bodied. Caramel and light mineral notes linger with light grass.

Bottle from Frank. Many thanks! Dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of roasted malts, caramel, bread crusts. Taste is light sweet, light bitter, malty. Decent.

Flasche gekauft bei Hopfen und Malz in Berlin. Schönes schwarzes Bier mit sehr wenig Schaum. Aroma: Lakritz, Sahne Bombon, Malz. Geschmack: etwas Sahnebonbon, Haselnuss, ein wenig Karamell, mittlere süße, mittlere Bitterkeit.
