Bottle, as "Schremser Wiener Lager". Rather clear amber color with huge soapy white head. Aroma is herbal hops, celery, grapefruits, pale malts. Taste is the same. Standard "modern" Lager for Austrian standards I guess. Ample carbonation. Ok.

Beautiful, slightly hazy copper and very bronze coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall deep tan head - full of tints and very hazy throughout - absolutely beautiful in the glass. Aroma of pure bread, malt, yeast, honey, caster sugar, a bit of toast and way more bread. Light to Medium-bodied; Liquid bread flavours at first with a dose of honey, some lighter earthy and nutty malt flavours and a good deal of yeast and unfinished sugars with almost no other flavours. Aftertaste shows more of the bread ,a touch of malt and some specialty grains and little else, aside from honey and toast. Overall, a pretty poor beer, albeit one that looks great in the glass. I don’t expect too much from a lager ever (I believe this one should be categorised as a Vienna [easy enough] instead of an IPL, but that’s just me), but this is very simplistic, showing no depth and no real flavours, just the yeast and bread with some sugars. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Merkur Hoher Markt in Wien, Austria on 22-March-2016 for €1,09 sampled at home in Washington after just returning from Switzerland on 10-August-2017.

0.33l bottle. Malty aroma with massive hopy notes and light yeasty notes. Hazy amber color, white head. Hopy taste of citruses, higher bitterness. Light body, oily texture, average carbonation and bitter, hopy finish. Uncommon pale lager with notes of IPA, but very good.

Lahev (Dííīík...!):Deep golden, hazy, visible carbonation, big and stable off-white head; mild to moderate aroma of lemony/grapefruity hops and caramalt; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, not too light bodied and pretty soft; lingering bitter-lemony finish with some balancing traces of pale malt. Well balanced, nice brew...

(bottle, 33cl, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Hazy, amber colour with a tall and off-white foamy head. Fruity and flowery hoppy aroma with notes of peach and citrus, accompanied by mildly malty notes and caramel. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Soft malt character with hints of caramel, backed by mainly fruity and slightly resiny hops; a tad slim and mildly bitter finish with fruity hoppy notes. Easy-going fruity hoppy Lager. 19.VII.16

33cl bottle from Vienna Airport. Pours slightly hazy amber with a fair, off-white head. Malty, fruity and somewhat hoppy aroma with mild notes of caramel, grass and herbs. Moderate sweet and mor tasty and flavourful than expected. Finishes moderate bitter. Fairly easy to dr and enjoyable enough.
