Wir haben unseren Barley Wine Nussknacker getauft. Seine Robustheit und die nussig – karamelligen Aromen legen diesen Namen nahe. Die Hefe bringt während der Gärung fruchtige Komponenten mit ein, welche mit den intensiven Malzaromen an Dörrobst und Honig erinnern.
Ein sehr komplexes Bier, das sich die 10 vol% Alkohol nicht anmerken lässt.

Bottle at Vinens Verden. Hazy copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee and dried fruit, with a weak touch of bubblegum. Sweet malty flavour with lots of toffee and biscuit, some dried fruit and a bit of alcohol. Definite cellar potential.

Brown with a big frothy head that soon thins. Big malty aroma full of caramel. Taste is sweet, sweet, sweet. Rich with caramel, bread, and with a hint of apple sauce at the end. Not getting much in the way of the advertised nuts. Body is heavy with a mild carbonation. A bit warming but surprisingly not so given the abv. Not sure about this one. Too monotone at the outset but it is growing on me. Probably just the alcohol.

Bottle picked up from Interspar, Kufstein, Austria, and consumed at home Tuesday 10th September 2019. Hazy dirty brown with a skimmy off white head. Sweet as one would expect, however there is a surprising amount of bitterness. Soft in the mouth, vanilla and a woody edge, this is very good. The sweetness opens revealing burnt toffee, demerara and that bitter bite.

Bottle. Dark Amber color, Malty nutty aroma with dried fruit. Grassy hops. Malty sweetish grassy alcoholic flavor with dried fruit. Nice, tasty, well rounded, quite Drinkable barley wine.

Minimális hab, barna szín. Édeskés, gabonás, enyhén fűszeres illat. Gabonás, karamelles, fűszeres ízek, némi gyümölcsös vonással. Testes, közepesen keserű, enyhén szénsavas. Némileg erősebben komlózott, és enyhébben karamelles, kellemes barley wine.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, redd-ish tan colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, sulphureous head. Minimally papery, woody, sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, hints of dried fruit, raisin, cautious citrusy hoppy overtones. Taste is sugary sweet, caramel malty and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, condensed notes of mandarine, orange and lemon; minimally warming, alcoholic finish with papery overtones. Smooth, soft, silky, creamy palate.

Bottle bought at Pig's Ear. Murky brown pour, filmy head. malty aroma, hints of booze to come. Taste brings some woody notes, tobacco, leather, plums. Sweet finah with a little burn.

Bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Prägnant malziger, fruchtiger Geruch mit Karamell und Pflaumen. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell und Pflaumen, spürbar alkoholisch. Prägnante Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

Bottle from BeerLovers. Hazy to cloudy deep amber color light tan head. Fruity caramel aroma. Taste is rich lightly spiced butterscotch with no actual butter. Tasty.

Bottled 330ml. -shared with guys, thanks! Amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, caramel, malt and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits and alcohol with rather sweet finish. One-dimensional.
