Tap. Dark chestnut brown, creamy brown head. Roast, metallic light meaty aroma. Medium body, creamy, mellow, roast, chocolate, perfumed praline on top, dark chocolate finish. Pleasant.
Tap at Frisches Bier in Munich. Moderate malty nose, then a fantastic big roasted malt flavor. Like an evening coffee with a perfect blend of hops: the Amarillo blends in great with the malt combination and isn't overpowering. Recommended for dark beer lovers.

330ml bottle. Darkest chestnut colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Nutty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, nougat, hazelnut, Brazil nut, some cocoa. Taste is bitter hoppy and dry, slightly roasty, dark malty, hints of Brazil nut, hazelnut, a touch of coffee and cocoa, cautious citrusy hoppy overtones with a touch of mandarine and orange. Unexpectedly thin and almost a bit watery considering the rich malty nose.

Bottle, 10C. Brown with a loose inch of beige head. Aroma of oranges and mocha. Really quite thin, medium high carbonation. No grunt or depth to the malt flavours at all, just toppy mocha. The orange is not as clear in as it was in the aroma, making the bitter finish a bit dull.
