A traditional Amber body is delicately balanced with the intense flavors of the serrano peppers. An enjoyable spice will flood your senses without the heat. This means you get to enjoy the serrano flavor without the heartburn or watering eyes.

Bottle. Golden, slightly misted color, white foam. Aroma: sweet, pepper, malt. Sweet taste, pepper, candy, paprika, spicy, just beer for food.

Tap at Beer Geek. The pepper is coming through really clean and assertive, yet with only med-light hotness - just enough for me. It is the center of this beer, everything else just providing the canvas. Very good, this is one of the best pepper beers that I've had.

Bottle. A- Peppers, medium spice. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Peppers, mild spiciness, caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Balanced amount of heat and malt. Not bad but not something I really want to drink. I don't understand pepper beers other than for marinating.

Bottle. Rather clear amber color with white head. Aroma is black pepper, totally overdone. Taste is pepper, pale malts, earthy, straw. Pepper heat in the finish. Way too much pepper to be balanced.

12oz bottle poured into flared shaker glass. A surprisingly big head for a pepper beer, foamy and strong. Fades to a surface covering lacing, again the pepper oils usually kills a head. Body is dark amber copper color. Aroma has a strong spicy and pepper flavor, which is magical to me. Flavor has a lasting, present spicy but not too much for my tastes. Strong green pepper flavor. This may be the most peppery Serrano beer I ever had, usually they are a low spicy pepper. The base amber actually gets in the way a bit, its dull but the malt is dusty and not clean. Fortunately the pepper shines enough.

Bottle. Serrano pepper and biscuit malt aroma. Hazy copper with moderate off-white head. Moderately sweet serranos, biscuit malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body. Mild burn in the finish. Very well made - good serrano pepper presence.

Sample at Savor 2016. Clear amber color, off white head. Light chili aroma. Taste is pepper flesh on a malty caramel background, subtle heat. OK.

On tap. Pours a hazy deep amber with a medium, frothy, short lived white head. Aroma of pepper overpowering a caramel malt note. Flavour matches aroma with a dry, grassy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A whole lot of pepper and not much else going on here.
